If you like a good car show, Pennsylvania has it all and they do it weekend after weekend. The shows literally don’t stop. Fords, Mopars, Chevys, cars, trucks, Jeeps, no matter what you’re into, it’s more than likely that the Keystone state has an event that caters specifically to your automotive passions. Every year between April and October, we find ourselves heading to the Carlisle Fairgrounds month in and month out. This past weekend was no different. We made our way down the PA Turnpike destined for 100 Bryn Mawr Rd. in anticipation of the annual gathering of America’s favorite sports car, Corvettes at Carlisle.

The largest event of its kind in the world, Corvettes at Carlisle was an eyeful of all things Vette. From C1 to C7 and everything in between, if it rolled off the assembly line with a crossed, checkered flag emblem chances are you could find it at this show. Aside from taking in all of the sights, sounds and snacks, we got a chance to hang out with our good friends from A&A Auto Stores who were on-site installing Flowmaster exhaust systems. We always like to have something special for shows like this so we shipped out a few of our still yet-to-be-released Flowmaster Dual Mode Outlaw Axle-backs for the C7 as a hint of what’s to come. Here’s a little clip of one that was installed at the fairgrounds.

One new product is never enough, so we also brought along the upcoming Hurst C7 Billet/Plus shifter. We figured that this way, Vette owners could literally get their hands on it and let us know what they thought. Reminiscent of a jet fighter’s cockpit, this piece really improves the look and feel of the C7’s cabin. Of course, the shifter isn’t just a showpiece. It also provides the short, crisp and more positive shifts that you have come to expect from a high-quality Hurst shifter.

Old cars, new cars, new products, and staples of Corvette performance, the 2017 show had it all. Corvettes at Carlisle is the biggest and best Bowtie event of its kind for good reason. It’s a great time with a solid sect of enthusiastic Corvette owners and aficionados. We’ve already penciled ourselves in for next year. You should too.
