When you purchase one of Flowmaster's custom exhaust systems for your vehicle, you can be rest assured that you are getting the most advanced and professionally engineered mandrel bent exhaust system available. Each exhaust system is custom tailored to fit your vehicle for ease of installation and to give your vehicle that custom look.

•  Fully mig welded 16 gauge aluminized steel performance muffler(s)

Here's an insiders look at how Flowmaster develops custom exhaust systems:

Phase I - Design Phase

Each vehicle is evaluated in our R&D department using the following criteria:

•  Single exhaust system, single exhaust with dual outlets or true dual exhaust system?

•  Catalytic converter back system, slip-on, or universal header back system?

•  Desired sound levels inside and outside the vehicle?

•  Calculate tubing size necessary for maximum drivability, performance & fuel economy.

•  Configure exhaust exit/exits upon based upon functionality and cosmetics.

Phase II - Kit Development and Tube Bending Phase

•  Configure routing of exhaust tubing for maximum clearance and ease of installation.

•  All tubing is bent on one of our computerized CNC Mandrel benders for the highest quality and smoothest bends.

•  Locate proper hanger locations for each application using only high quality components.

•  Choose the appropriate series of muffler to give the vehicle the proper Flowmaster sound inside and outside the vehicle.

•  Stylize each system with desirable stainless steel tips to fit the vehicles personality.

Phase III - Dyno Testing and Sound Tuning

•  All exhaust systems are individually tested and tuned at one of our two "Industry Leading" Research & Development facilities. Each vehicle goes through rigorous testing and performance tuning on one of our SuperFlow chassis dyno's to attain the maximum performance gains and efficiencies available for each vehicle.

•  The vehicle is then road tested in varying conditions of low speed and highway speeds and sounds are recorded with special sound equipment inside that vehicle. Adjustments can then be made to tune the interior and exterior sound levels to the appropriate and desirable sound levels that you want to hear, not the sounds you don't want to hear.
